SUPPORT: For Citylink

Citylink is a need in our community for people who cannot drive for various reasons (such as disability, lack of income, age, etc.). I have taken Citylink many times. I see students going to North Idaho College, young adults going to and from jobs, older adults going shopping, and even tourists learning firsthand about Coeur d’Alene.

The drivers are the best! They are friendly, knowledgeable and looking out for the safety of everyone on board. I have helped train young adults with disabilities to use Citylink so that they can get to and from their jobs, visit friends and go shopping.

The new routes are AWESOME! I was lucky enough to ride them recently. The two routes in Coeur d’Alene will help Citylink be more reliable. The bus should be at each stop about every hour. The schedule will be easier to read. The new route will actually get NIC students closer to the college in comparison to the current routes.

Citylink is needed! Part of Citylink is a para-transit for those unable to use the fixed routes. This service would also disappear if Citylink goes away.

The transit center will make the Riverstone area look nice for all who use the bus. It will make that area look more park-like rather than a dirt lot eyesore. It will help Coeur d’Alene attract visitors who would prefer to use public transit. Please keep Citylink and support the county’s expansion.
