Thompson Falls girls, boys make impact at Dave Tripp track meet

Thompson Falls’ Ember Schwindt captured first place in the 100-meter relay Thursday afternoon at the Dave Tripp Memorial Track meet at Polson High School.
Schwindt finished with a time of 13.46, a personal record, in the 100-meter relay. Schwindt barely edged out Arlee’s Ashley Revis, who finished second with a time of 13.75.
Schwindt’s teammate, Gillian Nelson, finished third in the event, also a personal record with a time of 13.98 in the race.
The Thompson Falls’ girls captured the 4X100 relay with a time of 53.99 seconds.
Bailey Pardee finished third in the shot put, another personal record with a throw of 28 feet, 11 inches.
Madison Wheeler finished second in the pole vault with a distance of 7 feet, 6 inches.
Holt captures first in 200
Thompson Falls’ boys runner McKenzie Holt won the 200-meter relay with a time of 24.11. Holt’s closest competitor was Kye McCollaum of Darby, who ran a time of 24.97 capturing second.
Thompson Falls’ relay finished second behind Charlo in the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 3 minutes, 46.11 seconds. Charlo’s relay team finished with a time of 3 minutes, 41.10 seconds.
In the javelin, two Bluehawks finished second and third. Kade VanElsyk threw 165 feet, 10 inches on the day. His Thompson Falls’ teammate, Cody Garrison, threw 143 feet, 6 inches on the day.
Austin Cooper finished third in the high jump with a jump of 5 feet, 2 inches.
Bluehawks’ Losha Schroeder finished first with a jump of 12 feet in the pole vault. Thompson Falls’ Nate Tibeault jumped 18 feet, 11.75, a personal record, and finished behind Trevor Paro of Hot Springs, with 19 feet, 4 inches.
