Joan Babor Perches
Aug 5, 1942 – April 16, 2017
On Easter morning, her favorite holiday our beloved sister unexpectedly passed away in her sleep at the home of her niece, Linda Machi, in Alhambra, Calif., where she was living.
Joan was raised in Monterey Park, Calif., where she attended Mark Keppel High School and Mt. SAC in Walnut, Calif. She had various clerical jobs throughout her life. She also worked at Monterey Park Hospital.
Joan had a bright smile and a hardy laugh. When she was younger working in Los Angeles, all her shoes matched her purses. She loved to shop in the discount stores of Los Angeles. She was always perfectly dressed.
She loved and had a strong devotion to her many pets.
Joan is survived by her twin sister, Joyce Folsom and husband John of Hayden; sister Carol Ann Martin of Ocean Shores, Wash.; and brother William “Bill” Babor and wife Arlene of Hayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ann Babor. She leaves many nieces and nephews, and friends.
Her wishes were to be cremated and spread among the flowers.
We love you Joanie and you will forever be in our hearts. Besides being my twin, she was my best friend. God keep her safe.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
