Annual Quality Drinking Water Report BAYVIEW WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT We're very pleased to provide you with this year's Annual Water Quality Report. We want to keep you informed about the excellent water and services we have delivered you over the past year. Our goal is and always has been, to provide to you a safe and dependable supply of drinking water. Our water source is from wells in Farragut State Park which tap into the Rathdrum Aquifer. Our water is safe and meets Federal and State requirements. We have available a Source Water Assessment Report at our office and will make a copy for anyone who wishes to view it. If you have any questions about this year's water quality report, or concerning your Water Utility, please contact Reid O'Conner; System Operator, at 208-683-3948. We want our valued customers to be informed about their Water Utility. If you want to learn more, please attend any of our regularly scheduled meetings. They are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 3:30 pm at the Bayview Water and Sewer District Office. Bayview Water and Sewer District routinely monitors for constituents in your drinking water according to Federal and State laws, This report covers the period of January 1st to December 31st, 2016. All drinking water, including bottled drinking water, may be reasonably expected to contain at least small amounts of some constituents. It is important to remember that the presence of these constituents does not necessarily post a health risk. If you are interested in seeing the test results of the contaminants our system tests for routinely, please feel free to contact us between the hours of 9 am to 4pm Monday through Thursday. Our system routinely tests for Inorganic Compounds, Volatile Organic Compounds, and Synthetic Organic Compounds. The following test results show non-detectable in the categories tested. Also attached to this report is a list of the above compounds for which our system has received waivers from the Department of Environmental Quality for testing during 2016. More information about contaminants and potential health effects can be obtained by calling the Environmental Protection Agency's Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1-800-426-4791. Some people may be more vulnerable to contaminants in drinking water than the general population. Immune System compromised persons, such as persons with cancer undergoing chemotherapy, persons who have undergone organ transplants, people with HIV/AIDS or other immune system disorders, some elderly, and infants can be particularly at risk from infections. These people should seek advice about drinking water from their health care providers, EPA/CDC guidelines on appropriate means to lessen the risk of infection by crypotsporidium and other microbiological contaminants are available from the Safe Drinking Water Hotline (800-426-4791). Please call our office if you have questions. We at the Bayview Water and Sewer District work around the clock to provide top quality water to every tap. We ask that all our customers help us protect our water sources, which are the heart of our community, our way of life and our children's future. A copy of this report will be published in the Coeur d' Alene Press, and will be posted in the Bayview Water and Sewer District Office. If any person wishes to have a copy, please contact the Bayview Water and Sewer District Office at 683-3948, to receive one. LEGAL 7473 APR 24, 2017
