COEUR d’ALENE — The three state lawmakers representing District 4 in the Idaho Legislature will hold a town hall forum Monday, May 1, in Coeur d’Alene.
Reps. Paul Amador and Luke Malek and Sen. Mary Souza will provide a recap of the 2017 legislative session in which they will discuss bills that passed and those that failed to gain traction. Constituents are also encouraged to bring ideas for priorities for the next legislative session in 2018.
“This session saw a continued commitment and investment in our educational system as well as a focus on improving the economy of Idaho by encouraging the development of high-paying jobs,” Amador said in the legislators’ announcement of the meeting.
The forum will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at North Idaho College in the Student Union Building’s Lake Coeur d’Alene Room.
“I’m excited about the progress that the Legislature made on transportation funding and the continued commitment to education this session,” Malek said. “We have to keep conversations going through the next few months on issues like health care costs and liquor license reform so that they are addressed early in the next session.”
Constituents unable to attend are encouraged to contact their lawmakers by email at www.legislature.idaho.gov.
