DRIVERS: Is polite extinct?

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all you polite and courteous drivers on the road. You know who you are. You’re the ones who know a yellow light is to slow down and stop instead of accelerating to jeopardize an intersection.

You also utilize your turn signals. Seems like a waste to have paid for them on a new car and not use them. They will cost you plenty to replace at a body shop because you didn’t use them.

You also fully stop at a four-way stop and allow the rightful person to proceed.

You give a space and don’t block a driveway in or out of a business while waiting for a red light to change.

You also don’t park in the loading/fire lane at grocery stores, hindering the traffic flow. Especially like businesses with their name emblazoned on their truck door pulling a boat/trailer/camper. (You don’t have my business if you don’t respect the general populace.)

But I’m worried. I haven’t seen you polite and courteous drivers in a while. Where are you? I hope you’re OK and look forward to driving with you again.

P.S. I have an idea that could save our road crews a ton of labor hours and material costs. They could just put up signs that say no road construction ahead.
