Pearl Parker, 92
Born Dec. 8, 1924, and having passed away Aug. 2, 2017, Pearl Parker grew up in Coeur d’Alene, graduating from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1942.
She began a long banking career with Old National Bank, remained with the bank for the duration of her career, and by the time she retired, it was and continues to be U.S. Bank.
Pearl met her future husband, Stanley, at the end of World War II while she was welding on the victory ships in San Francisco. Stanley was serving in the Navy at the time. Soon after, they were married, and their only son, Andrew, was born in 1949. They moved to Idaho in 1954.
Pearl is survived by her son, Andy, and his wife, Cathy. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Melissa, Brian and his wife Melissa, Stacie and her husband Josh, and Todd and his wife Jaime. She also leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren: Morgan, Garrett, Ainsely, Jayci, Darion and his wife Jenny, Marissa, Isabella, Parker, Emilee and Kyle. Pearl is also survived by a sister, Lela Schultz, in Oregon. She is predeceased by her husband, Stanley; and another sister, Carolyn Schuetz.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, at Garden Plaza in Post Falls, where she resided until her passing. Their address is: Garden Plaza of Post Falls, 545 N. Garden Plaza Ct., Post Falls.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the youth ministry at Ramsey Road Baptist Church, 7610 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815.
