Artists' Studio Tour kicking off today

Each summer for over a decade here in the Sandpoint area artists dust off the cobwebs and spit shine their studios for the Artists’ Studio Tour. An open studio, free to the public event, the tour offers an opportunity to see art in the making with dozens of artists participating and a wide variety of studios to visit.

The Artist’s Studio Tour starts Friday-Sunday, Aug. 11-13; and again on Friday-Sunday, Aug 18-20. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for both weekends.

This is a self-guided driving tour, free of charge, and features 29 artists at 17 art studios in the Bonner County area, celebrating i 14th year of fabulous art for sale. Brochures are available around town or visit the tour’s website, arttourdrive.org.

The cities of Sandpoint, Hope, Ponderay. Kootenai, Clark Fork and Sagle offer stop off points for lunch, snacks or any other needs while you tour.
