Caroline Louise McDonald, 73, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the Huston-Jost Funeral Home in Lebanon, Ore. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at the Lebanon Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will follow at the Shedd Cemetery.
Caroline was born on Nov. 10, 1943, in Fresno, Calif., to Allen and Barbara Archibald. She grew up and attended schools in Downy, Idhaho. She married Douglas Leroy Seibert on Feb. 14, 1963, in Sweet Home, Ore.; they later divorced. She married Herbert Melvin McDonald on Oct. 10, 1992, in Lake Tahoe.
She worked for Barenbrug USA packaging seeds in Tangent, Ore. Caroline moved to Athol, Idaho, in 2008 and Mel passed away in 2014. She was a member of the Lebanon LDS Church, enjoyed traveling, farming and taking care of her animals.
She is survived by four daughters, Laurie (Danny) Hamilton of Lebanon, Barbara (Ron) Bennett of Sweet Home, Bonnie (Mark) Steele of Lebanon, and Tina (Mike) Galla-gher of Athol; three sons, Kevin (Annie) McDon-ald of Halsey, Kelly (Cherie) McDon-ald of Salem, and Eric McDon-ald of Portland; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry (Melanie) Archibald of Downy and Steve (Lana) Archibald of Mendon, Utah and; four sisters, Janice (Richard) Jacobson of Garland, Utah, Kathy Bowman of Downy, Julia John of Gainesville, Fla., and Elizabeth (Pat) Starkey of Downy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Mel; two sons, Douglas and Duane Seibert; two grandsons, Joshua Steele and Jessie Gallagher; and one granddaughter, Felicia Hamilton.
