A workshop about economic development is on the agenda Tuesday for city officials in Post Falls. Sam Wolkenhauer, with the Idaho Department of Labor, will present the 5 p.m. workshop in the basement conference room of Post Falls City Hall, 408 N. Spokane St.

The workshop will take place before the City Council meets at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers. Agenda highlights include “Heroin and the Effect it has on the Community,” a presentation by Police Chief Scot Haug; a public hearing offering an opportunity for citizens to comment on a plan to vacate a portion of Guy Road to make way for the removal of the Guy Road railroad crossing; a public hearing about proposed fee increases for city services; and a public hearing on the proposed 2018 budget.
