The Flathead County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a 47-year-old Hungry Horse man who fired “a bunch of rounds” into a residence just outside Martin City Aug. 5, Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry said last week.

Curry did not release the name of the suspect.

The man, a former tenant of the property who had been evicted, became the subject of a search after he fired at the residence Saturday evening at about 7 p.m. An initial search by law enforcement was unsuccessful.

The house appeared to have been empty at the time of the shooting and no one was injured.

The case has been turned over to the Flathead County attorney’s office for charges, Curry noted.
