The Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course and Community Cancer Fund announced a three-year extension of their partnership for The Showcase fundraising event held annually the last weekend in July.

Organized by Community Cancer Fund, the Showcase has raised over $9.7 million in its first four years to benefit cancer patients, their families, and the Inland Northwest organizations serving them.

“The Coeur d’Alene Resort is honored to host the Showcase golf tournament each summer and is a proud partner of the Community Cancer Fund,” said Bob Nuttelman, president of The Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course. “The organization has successfully raised millions of dollars to help battle this terrible disease. Better yet, the money raised is being put into action in our local communities where it will help improve the lives of our neighbors, family and friends.”

With its annual lineup of national celebrities and golf, parties and spectacular entertainment, the Showcase weekend of festivities has quickly become one of the premier celebrity fundraising events on the West Coast. Past celebrity attendees include Giuliana and Bill Rancic, Adam Levine, Darius Rucker, Wayne Gretzky, Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, Mark Few and Mark Rypien.

“We greatly appreciate the partnership we have built with Mr. Hagadone and his various properties,” said Jerid Keefer, co-founder and executive director of Community Cancer Fund. “We are grateful for the platform they provide to truly showcase the best of this region while raising funds to help the local fight against cancer. We are excited to make an even greater impact in the years to come.”

Next year will mark the fifth anniversary of the event, planned for July 27-28, 2018.

Community Cancer Fund is dedicated to fighting cancer in the Inland Northwest by funding local cancer prevention and screening programs, supporting cancer patients and their families at every stage of their illness and recovery and funding groundbreaking local research.
