RATHDRUM — Northwest Guardian Riders, a nonprofit group supporting local disabled veterans, is hosting a free community barbecue this Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. in Rathdrum City Park.

The event will feature a local wheelchair manufacturing company demonstrating their electric off road capable chairs.

The motto of Northwest Guardian Riders is: “If you can’t walk, you can ride” and this is just one way for the group to show those in the area who may be affected with mobility restraints that they can get out and get moving.
