Pleasant View Church in Post Falls is inviting local hunters and outdoor enthusiasts to attend the second annual Sportsmen’s Banquet on Sept. 16 starting at 5:30 p.m.
There will be games, door prizes, raffles and a live auction with prizes including gift baskets, artwork, sporting goods and firearms. There will also be chances to win a guided fishing trip with Freshwater Fishing Hall of Famer Billy Chapman Jr. at El Santo Lake in Mexico, or a one-year membership to Center Target Sports.
Guest speaker Mark Witt will be sharing his story which was featured in an award-winning article in the December 2011 issue of Field and Stream Magazine titled ‘Following our Father.”
A ribeye steak dinner with all the usual sides will be served. It will be prepared at the church by their resident “foodie.”
“This is a chance, in a family friendly environment, for an evening out. Our guest speaker has a very powerful story to share, and there’s a chance at walking away with a great deal on lots of stuff” said Pleasant View Church’s Men’s Ministry leader Nathan Sylvester.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased on the church’s website. Proceeds will be donated to the Good Samaritan Rehabilitation Program run by Pastor Tim Remington of the Altar Church.
The banquet is being held at Pleasant View Church, 19587 W. Riverview Drive.
