BONNERS FERRY — The Boundary County Fair Family Fun Night filled the stands with spectators, and the arena with contestants. With a wide array of games for all ages, the audience cheered for their favorites, or laughed as the helpers tried to wrangle a large herd of youngsters in gunny sacks, hopping around like popcorn heating up in a pan.
Horses thundered in the arena, ducks and chickens scattered in the Chicken Scramble, with children in hot pursuit. The Family Fun Night remains a favorite, as evidenced by the long line of people waiting to pay the small fee, the only admission that fairgoers have to pay.
The night proved to be fun for both competitors and audience alike.
