As we head into fall, getting back into a routine is at the top of everyone’s list. After a summer of parties and playing, nutrition has most likely taken a backseat to the activities that have kept us busy over the last few months. Whether you’re looking to clean up your diet or just get back on track, planning and preparation is key.

On Sept. 5, 7B Women will welcome Kenny and Jenn Markwardt of the Markwardt Method as guest speakers to our September luncheon. Jenn and Kenny will join us for a primer on how to make nutrition and meal planning simple, easy and delicious.

Kenny and Jenn’s philosophy is that good health comes from good habits. They will discuss the five habits for a healthy, organized kitchen that will leave you feeling energized and ready to conquer the fall.

Ten years ago, Jenn was diagnosed with several food allergies, which precipitated her research into food and nutrition.

“The road to feeling vibrant and healthy has not always been straight, but I have learned incredible things along the way,” shared Jenn. “As a mom and a wife, I am passionate about fueling our bodies with whole, healthy, quality food.”

Kenny and Jenn own Crossfit Sandpoint gym where Kenny works every day with people whose goal is to get in shape and live a healthy life.

“After coaching people for years and years to the absolute best of my ability, using the best and most current methods known, and having to have the conversation about body composition changes not reflecting on the scale, I started doing some exploratory nutrition consulting with clients, said Kenny. “Literally within a matter of weeks, people who hadn’t lost a pound through exercise were shedding fat and inches by even the most simple of nutritional guidance.”

7B Women looks forward to welcoming Jenn and Kenny to their September luncheon and knows the information they share will be valuable to everyone.

“For many families, not just those with school aged children, it is common to not have meal planning as one of their priorities,” said President of 7B Women, Kim Diercks. “Kenny and Jenn will show our attendees that good nutrition and meal planning does not have to be stressful or expensive.”

The luncheon will take place on Tuesday, September 5 from 11:45am to 1pm at Tango Café and is open to everyone in the community, men and women. The cost is $21 or $16 if you are a member of 7B Women, Inc.

Individual memberships cost $35 per year and can be paid online at the group’s website, 7BWomen.com.

Please note that due to the high participation in the past and so Tango Café can adequately prepare for the luncheon, pre-registration is highly encouraged.

If people would like an opportunity to promote their business at the luncheon, they are asked to bring an item to raffle and will be given a “minute with the mic” during the course of the luncheon.

Register online at 7BWomen.com and you can also purchase your raffle tickets ahead of time to avoid standing in line at check in and optimizing your networking time. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5.
