Timothy P. Sullivan has been found.

The Hayden man, who was missing for six days, was located shortly before 8 a.m. at Western States Equipment in the 10700 block of U.S. 95 north.

Western States called the Sheriff's Office and reported a disoriented man was on their property. Sheriff's deputies confirmed it was the missing 59-year-old.

Sullivan appeared to be dehydrated and in need of medical care, according to the Sheriff's Office. He was transported to Kootenai Health.

Sheriff's detectives are investigating to determine where Sullivan has been for the last six days.

HAYDEN — Today marks the sixth day that family and friends will be searching for Timothy Sullivan.

The 59-year-old man was last seen around 3 p.m. on Saturday, walking on Lacey Avenue in Hayden near U.S. 95 and the Harmony House assisted living facility where he resided.

"He has signs of early-onset dementia; however, he has not been diagnosed with that," said Shannon Sullivan, Timothy's daughter.

"He had been doing well, but he's also been without his medications for five days. We're concerned that he could be in a catatonic state — unresponsive and unaware of his surroundings."

He was wearing a white shirt, black knee-length shorts and a dark baseball hat. He had a black and gray backpack.

Sullivan is about 6 feet, 155 pounds, balding with gray hair and has hazel eyes.

Shannon said it is believed her father didn't have money for transportation, hotel or similar expenses. Family also has no reason to believe he may have been kidnapped, she said.

Sullivan said her father was known to take short walks. She said he was in worse shape physically and mentally when he went missing from a skilled nursing facility for three days last October.

Shannon said she wonders if he is hunkered down somewhere where no on can see him.

"We could be within 20 feet of him calling out his name and he may not respond," she said.

Numerous businesses and residents in the area have notified to keep an eye out for Sullivan and many fliers have been distributed, she said. Trails, fields, abandoned buildings and other places have been and continue to be searched, she said.

"He's not the type of person who would trespass," she said.

Sullivan was possibly seen in the area of Ninth and Mullan in downtown Coeur d'Alene on Wednesday, so that's where the search has been focused the past two days, Shannon said.

Anyone with information is urged to immediately contact the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office at (208) 446-1300 or call 911.
