Dylan Parks ran for three touchdowns, threw for two and caught two more to power Darby to a lopsided Class C season-opening victory over Troy in Western Division play on Friday in Troy.

Parks had scoring runs of 29, nine and two yards. His touchdown receptions from Nelson Smith were for 21 and 65 yards. He connected with Smith on scoring strikes of 13 and 17 yards. Darby led 48-6 at the half.

Smith also passed for two more touchdowns — 28 yards to Drake Horvath and 25 yards to Dylan Schlatlan.

Hunter Leighty scored on a 50-yard scamper in the second quarter for Troy.
