ST. JOHN — A Moses Lake man was arrested in Whitman County over the weekend after allegedly exposing himself and threatening several people with a loaded gun.

Ricky Bakko, 42, of Moses Lake, reportedly exposed himself outside of his trailer in the camping area of the boat races at Webb’s Slough, in St. John, about 3 p.m. on Saturday. Bakko was reportedly confronted by several people about the incident and an altercation ensued, according to Whitman County Sheriff Brett Myers.

Bakko allegedly went back to his trailer and came back with a loaded handgun, which witnesses say he pointed at several people and threatened them. Witnesses told deputies Bakko put the gun to the forehead of one of the people from the earlier altercation he was involved in. Deputies found a 9mm handgun at the scene, which was reportedly loaded.

Myers said Bakko was arrested and booked into the Whitman County Jail for first-degree assault and indecent exposure. He was scheduled to have his first court appearance on Monday.
