Lois Follette, 88
Lois Irene Dorsey Follette, 88, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, in St. Maries, Idaho.
She was born May 19, 1929, in Gettesburg, S.D., to Adolphus Adam Dorsey and Clara Mae Goddard. She grew up in South Dakota and graduated from the Huron High School in 1947. She married Robert Strayer Follette on Feb. 22, 1953, in Lincoln, Neb. They moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1968 from Sturgis, S.D.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Daughters of the American Revolution and National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century. Her interests were art, writing, photography and handicrafts.
Survivors include sons Douglas Follette of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Donovan Follette of Snohomish, Wash.; daughter Renelle Davis of Coeur d’Alene; stepdaughter Lurlene Fiscus of Billings, Mont.; sisters Gladys Dorsey Larson of Wessington, S.D., and Norma Maeve Dorsey of Seattle, Wash.; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her stepson, William Robert Follette; stepdaughter Roxanne Huchison and her husband, Robert S. Follette.
She will be laid to rest at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens. Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
