Bulldogs fall to Flint Creek in 8-man debut

The Mission High School football team hoped to make a successful transition from Class B, 11-man to Class C, 8-man football in their season debut game Friday night against Flint Creek at Mission High School.
The Bulldogs, who are under the direction of first-year head coach Tyler Murray, coaching in his first-ever season as a high school head coach and 2017 Western Montana University grad, struggled to move the ball in their 58-0 defeat at the hands of Flint Creek.
Early in the season Murray, and his coaching staff that is new to the Class C, 8-man game, have studied a lot of film of championship-contending 8-man teams, said he felt Flint Creek would be a good barometer of where his team was at early in the season.
“(Flint Creek) will be a good test for us and we will learn how 8-man football is played (right away),” Murray said in a previous interview.”
Mission hopes to rebound in their next game this Friday night at Victor.
