COEUR d’ALENE — Be whisked away to a time of Christmas past when the Sweet Adelines Coeur d'Alene Chorus performs its annual holiday concert at 7 p.m. Monday.
The Coeur d'Alene Chorus will present a Victorian-style concert of Christmas music in Canvas Church, 2200 N. Seventh St. in Coeur d'Alene.
The evening will feature guest performances by local quartets as well as Canto de Sorensen, a children's choir representing Sorensen Magnet School of the Arts and Humanities.
The Coeur d'Alene Chorus is directed by Janelle Peck and is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, which is known for singing rich, close harmony without accompaniment in the barbershop style. It comprises about 35 local women and welcomes new members.
Concert admission is $5 at the door. Donations of nonperishable food items will be accepted for the church's food bank. Coffee, punch and other refreshments will be served at the close of the program.
