MOSES LAKE — Two people were arrested in Moses Lake early Monday morning in connection with a search warrant at a motel room that turned up drugs and a gun.

About 3 a.m. Moses Lake police officers served a search warrant on a motel room at the El Rancho Motel, 1214 S. Pioneer Way, in connection with an investigation into illegal drug sales. Officers reportedly located methamphetamine, heroin and evidence of drug use and paraphernalia in the motel room. In addition, officers recovered an illegally-possessed .38 caliber revolver in the room.

Police took Nicholas Ritchie, 26, of Moses Lake, and Tessa Harvill, 23, also of Moses Lake, into custody at the location. Ritchie allegedly admitted to selling drugs to pay for his own drug habit and allowing other people to use the motel room to use drugs.

Ritchie was booked into the Grant County Jail for possession of heroin with intent to deliver, possession of meth and maintaining a drug house. The heroin possession charge included a firearm enhancement. Harvill was booked for possession of meth, possession of heroin and maintaining a drug house.
