Mary Louise Breeden, 81

On Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, Mary Breeden, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She passed away at her home in Spokane, Wash., in the loving care of her family. From her birth in Coeur d’Alene on Oct. 23, 1936, to her death, she nourished people around her with faith, love, laughter and stories.

Mary was born to Walter and Catherine Stillinger, the sixth of seven children. She always spoke fondly of her childhood and immense love for her parents and siblings. Mary treasured spending time with her family, her four sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often planning and hosting gatherings for family and friends.

Mary is survived by her sister, Joan (Everett) Wagner; brother, Jim (Sue) Stillinger; her four sons, Walter (Gudi) Wilcott, Larry (Gail) Wilcott, Chris Wilcott and Mark Wilcott; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Larry and Wendell Stillinger, sisters, Mona Olson and Phyllis Kaczor; ex-husband, Jim Wilcott and husband, Edgar.

Even though Mary left us before we were ready to let her go, our memories of her will be in our hearts until we get to heaven to meet her again.

At her request, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of Mary’s life was held at her home on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017.
