Ode to the Hellebores

Phoebus departed as he does each day,

And tomorrow I’ll bet he lingers a bit more;

With radiance he sends the chill away,

And hasten the time fmor flowers to restore;

And meanwhile, unseen, under the snow,

The little white flower’s beauty does show.
