Kalispell resident wins big lottery payout

A Kalispell resident claimed a top prize in the Montana Lottery last week.

Ginny King, of Kalispell, took home a $75,000 prize on Dec. 4 that was won on a Money Mania Plus Scratch ticket. The winning ticket was sold at Cenex Zip Trip #39 on East Idaho Street in Kalispell.

The Montana Lottery has paid out $94,285 in prizes over the last week.

Other winners include Kurt Magnant, of Belgrade, who claimed a $5,285 prize playing MT Slots, a Montana Lottery Treasure Play instant win game. Magnant won playing at the American Legion Club 30 on West Main Street in Belgrade.

Madison Warehime, of Great Falls, took home a $14,000 prize on Dec. 4 she won on a $14,000 Montana Crossword Scratch ticket. The winning ticket was purchased at Schulte’s 38th Street Store on Third Avenue South in Great Falls.

Climate change awards announced

Climate Smart Glacier Country announced its Climate Smart Champions during a ceremony at the Earth Day celebration April 21 in Whitefish. Awards were presented to businesses, youth and an individual who are leaders in building local solutions to climate change challenges.
