HARRISON FLATS — Kaili Gentry had 24 points, 10 rebounds and three steals to spark the Kootenai Warriors past the visiting Kendrick Tigers 53-41 in a nonleague game on Thursday night.

“We came out in the second half highly motivated,” said Kootenai coach Doug Napierala, whose team trailed 22-14 at halftime. “About the four minute mark of the first, they got control of the boards and got some easy baskets to push the lead. We were able to shut it down in the second quarter, but the last four minutes, they toasted us. In the second half, we had a better attack and really got things rolling on our end.”

Courtney Lamb had nine points, six assists and three steals, Jacey Grange seven rebounds and Amanda Wine seven rebounds for Kootenai (2-2), which faces Genesis Prep on Saturday at Post Falls Middle School.

Lauren Morgan scored 13 points for Kendrick.

SPOKANE — Freshman Jack Kiesbuy scored 15 points on five 3-pointers for the Timberwolves in a nonleague loss to the Pirates.
