SAN JOSE, Calif. — Jarod Greene led three North Idaho College scorers in double figures with 14 points, and the Cardinals rolled past the San Jose City College Jaguars 67-42 on the final day of the San Jose City College tournament Saturday.
Greene also had nine rebounds for NIC (4-3), which snapped a three-game losing streak.
RayQuan Evans and Iaian McLaughin scored 12 points each for NIC, which outrebounded San Jose City (2-7) 50-21 in the game.
“We played really well defensively and were just active on that end allowing them only one shot,” NIC coach Corey Symons said. “Holding them to 42 points was a pretty good night for us.”
NIC returns home to host a Northwest Athletic Conference crossover tournament starting next Sunday against Chemeketa at 8 p.m. at Rolly Williams Court.

COEUR d’ALENE — The visiting Lights of the NAIA did just enough to top the Cardinals at Christianson Gymnasium.
“There was a couple of swing matches that we just need to have,” NIC coach Pat Whitcomb said. “Our guys that are supposed to win, need to win. Montana State-Northern wrestled well and traveled, and we didn’t. We’ll have another match tomorrow before break to get this taste out of our mouth.”
NIC (4-5) hosts Warner Pacific today at 2 p.m.
“We need to be on our game to win those close matches,” Whitcomb said. “Because there’s going to be a lot of them (today).”
