A Coeur d’Alene man is dead and two other people are injured after a single-vehicle crash Saturday evening near Interstate 90’s Rose Lake exit.

Gregory Vandouris, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a report from Idaho State Police.

Passengers Rachel Cabral, 32, of St. Maries, and Jesse Stephens, 36, of Coeur d’Alene, were injured in the wreck.

ISP reported the crash occurred around 8:14 p.m. when the vehicle Vandouris was driving westbound, a tan 1992 Honda Accord, went off the road and struck a guardrail. The impact took 30 feet of guardrail out and the car slid over an embankment. As the vehicle continued down the embankment, it struck the post of a roadway sign, overturned and came to rest after striking a tree with the car’s roof.

Cabral and Stephens were transported to Kootenai Health. Their conditions are not immediately available.
