(Courtesy photo) Sandpoint Nordic Club skier Annaby Kanning, 14, had a strong showing at the Haywood NorAm Race Series last weekend at the Sovereign Lake Nordic Center in British Columbia. Kanning, pictured right, clocked a 20:27 to finish second in the 5K Classic and was the second American in the 5K Skate with a time of 17:18. The NorAm series enables the best junior and senior skiers from Canada and guests from the United States to compete head-to-head during the early and final periods of the ski season.
