Farrell, a 6-foot-2 senior middle blocker from Lake City High, was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Assocation’s All-America second team. Farrell was also named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-America first team, which is voted on by sports information directors throughout the country. Farrell finished the season with 3.93 kills per set, a .414 hitting percentage and a 1.37 blocks per set average. Farrell had 18 kills and four blocks for the Nighthawks in a 22-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23 loss to Western Washington in the Division II West Regional semifinals on Dec. 1 in Riverside, Calif. On Nov. 30, Farrell had 20 kills and five blocks in a 25-23, 25-27, 25-18, 23-25, 15-8 first-round win over Central Washington in Riverside. Northwest Nazarene finished 25-5.

Sydney Williams

San Diego basketball

Williams, a 6-foot-1 senior forward from Coeur d’Alene High, scored a career-high 25 points to lead the Toreros (6-4) past visiting Minnesota last Sunday afternoon. Williams also had seven rebounds and four assists for San Diego. Williams is second on the team, averaging 12.4 points per game.
