Lady Fusion pick up trio of wins in Idaho

The Flathead Lady Fusion 14U went 3-0 this weekend at the Moscow Idaho girls hockey festival.

On Friday evening and Saturday morning the Fusion faced the Moscow Polar Bears and came away with convincing 8-1 and 9-1 wins, despite missing seven team members due to time and travel restrictions.

On Saturday afternoon the Fusion faced a strong Missoula Bruin team who scored first and led twice during the game, requiring stronger offensive and defensive play throughout the game, resulting in a 4-3 win for the Fusion girls.

Tallying points for the festival weekend were Nya Barber-Castro (8 goals), Lexi Kersten (5 goals and 2 assists), Margot Cummings (2 goals and 3 assists), Grace Droskowski (2 goals), Emma Cummings (1 goal 1 assist), Kenzie Baker (2 assists), Kyleigh Willis (1 goal 1 assist), and Norah Adoretti and Carmen Eddy (1 goal apiece).

Goalie Piper Linsom faced 44 shots and made 40 saves.

Next up for the 9-2-0 14U Lady Fusion is the local Kalispell Winter Classic Jan. 5-7.

Rehberg to attend rally for Jesus statue
