The Plains High School’s Jobs for Montana Graduates held a fun in-school fundraiser and decided the funds should be donated to the Cancer Network of Sanders County(CNSC).

The class decided to continue an old fundraiser from a few years ago where students had raised money for a fellow classmate who had been diagnosed with cancer.

This year using the same principle they had a day where students could wear their caps inside for the full day by making a donation for the privilege.

Kathy Miller of the CNSC made her way to the class to be presented with a check of $67.

Luke Lile who was the leader of the project handed over the donation to Miller.

Miller then proceeded to explain to the class that since the start of the CNSC, the local organization has been able to give out nearly half a million dollars to those in need. All from donations given.

“We wanted to keep it local, and get involved in our community,” said Lile of the reason the class chose this particular organization.

“This is just wonderful, they did a great job and they are helping people in their community more than they realize,” said Miller of receiving the donation.
