BONNERS FERRY — With the changing of the seasons, comes changes in Boundary County. Residents, businesses, family, and friends come and go throughout the years. As one business owner moves on, another replaces the void they left.

With Baby Go Round and More, it was either sell or close the store, but new residents to the area, Luke and Nancy Croll, stepped up to the plate and decided to buy the business.

The Crolls moved to Idaho from Virginia in April after selling their contracting company and home.

“My husband and I vacationed in Coeur d’Alene about four years ago, and we just loved the area. We like the cold, the snow, and the mountains, none of which Virginia has, at least not where we are from,” said Nancy Croll. “We have been planning to move out here for about three years. We just had to get our house and business ready to sell. Once they sold, we bought a travel trailer, and out we came.”

After floating around North Idaho, they landed in Bonners Ferry after Nancy Croll’s sister found a house locally. They came to help her move into her new home and fell in love with the area.

“We found this business for sale, and we didn’t jump on it right away because we didn’t think we were ready to purchase another business, or do retail,” Nancy Croll explained. “One thing led to another and we decided that this would be a really good fit. We want to be a part of the Bonners Ferry community, and be a blessing to them and we wanted to get into business again, so we decided to go for it and it was a great fit with Patty Lopez.”

“Our main goals are to keep it running just as Patty had it, because people love it the way it was,” said Nancy Croll. “We want to keep the same tradition of having great quality consignments at good prices for the community. We want to keep the client base and improve and build on what’s already here.’

The consignment women’s and children’s clothes and many other things, brings a unique business to the area for people to bring in items for store credit or payment, which helps keep the cost of the items lower.

“It’s really heartwarming because it seems to have a really great influence in the town and is a really needed niche, so we are very excited to be a blessing to people that way and keep something going that people need so much,” said Nancy Croll.

“We are really excited about taking what Patty has done and her legacy here at Baby Go Round. We were really excited about how wonderfully accepted this store was and we are planning on standing on her shoulders, if you will, and continue to move the community forward,” said Luke Croll.

The Crolls have always had a strong desire to help people, so when considering their options, they kept that quality at the forefront of their decision. They plan to get a website and social media up and running as well as other expansion options.

“Come on in and take a look at what’s new and what might change, but other than some rearranging, it’s going to be the same,” said Nancy Croll. “It’s the same store that people have always loved, and it’s going to be the same, just a different face behind the counter.”
