Here’s a Christmas gift for snow sports enthusiasts: Turner Mountain Ski Area opens for the season on Tuesday, Dec. 26 and will remain open daily, 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., through New Year’s Day.
After that, the facility will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for its normal schedule, as well as on President’s Day, Monday, Feb 19, 2018.
Bruce Zwang said Thursday that the past storm system helped “create a great base for the season,” which measured 18 inches at the bottom and 34 inches up top.
“It’ll groom up really nice,” he said.
All 22 of Turner Mountain’s trails will be open, Zwang said, as well as the rental shop and snack bar.
A daily lift ticket costs $38 for adults; $31 for seniors, college students and active military personnel; $26 for skiers age 13-18; and $21 for skiers age 7-12. Kids 6 and under ski free.
