Bulldogs fall to Libby in tight game

The Bulldogs were unable to overcome a six-point deficit Thursday night against Libby at home.
The Loggers won the Northwest A matchup 59-50.
Lee Walburn led Whitefish with 17 points. Ryan Kemm added 11.
At the end of the first quarter the teams were only two points apart with Whitefish leading at 17. While the lead bounced between the two throughout the game, Libby ultimately outscored Whitefish in three quarters of play to take the win.
The Bulldogs now sit at 1-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
Whitefish had also been scheduled to take on Frenchtown last week, but the game was canceled due to weather. It will be rescheduled.
The Bulldogs return the court on Jan. 2 hosting Ronan. Gametime is 7:15 p.m.
