Robert “Bob” Thompson, 76

Robert Thompson, 76, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 21, 2017. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Eileen Thompson; son Glenn Thompson; daughter Tarisa Thompson-Hatrock; three granddaughters, Aireyonah, Shetrela, and Katelynn; two great-grandchildren, Adelaynah and Conley Jr., with his third on the way. Bob also leaves behind his son-in-law, Kyle R. Hatrock; a grandson-in-law, Conley Murillo Sr. and many close friends that he considered family.

Bob was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served in the armed forces and loved his country dearly. He was an avid outdoorsman, who found joy being in the woods, hunting, or on a lake fishing. He was a logger here in the Inland Northwest for many years.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Wilma Thompson. He was fighting his second battle with cancer when he passed. He was a strong man and those who knew him loved him, as he had a huge heart and never hesitated to help someone in need.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Yates Funeral Home and Gathering Center, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho. A viewing begin at 9 a.m. prior to the service. A graveside service with Military Honors will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Pinegrove Cemetery, Highway 53, Rathdrum, Idaho.
