A Polson woman was killed and two others injured in a head-on wreck Dec. 26 on U.S. 93 near Ravalli.
Lake County Sheriff and Coroner Don Bell identified the woman as 65-year-old Janet Harmsen.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Wayne Bieber said the woman was driving a Subaru northbound when she crossed the center line, striking a Toyota headed southbound head on.
The driver of the Toyota, a man in his 60s, and a male passenger in his 80s were taken to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. Bieber said their condition was not immediately known.
Bieber said that following an initial investigation, it appeared seat belts were worn by all the victims.
The names of the male victims in the crash have not yet been made public pending the investigation, Bieber said.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m., Bieber said. According to Lake County dispatch call logs, the incident occurred at mile marker 25.5
Bieber estimates traffic was closed for under one hour. Montana Department of Transportation was called to assist in clearing the scene.
An autopsy will be conducted at the State Crime Lab in Missoula.
