Oetken earns RSPS certification

Christy Oetken, real estate professional with Windermere/Coeur d’Alene Realty, was recently awarded the Resort and Second Home Property Specialist Certification. Oetken successfully completed comprehensive courses including finance, negotiation, technology tools, investment, regulations, environmental impact, property management, international marketplace, tax ramifications and luxury property marketing.

The Resort and Second Home Property Specialist is recognized as an official National Association of Realtors Certification, and allows buyers and sellers to have confidence in the ability of a real estate professional who specializes in buying, selling or management of properties for investment, development, retirement, or second homes in a resort, recreational and/or vacation destination, to assist them with their search.

Erickson appointed to NAHB

Associate Members Committee

Angela Erickson, vice president and commercial lender at Idaho Independent Bank, was recently appointed to the National Association of Home Builders Associate Member Committee in Orlando, Fla., at the International Builders Show. In addition, Erickson was named the committee chair of the Associates of Leadership and Recognition Sub-Committee. In this leadership role, Erickson will lead a committee focused on the recognition of associates and builders on a national level with three NAHB awards granted by the associates. This committee is also tasked with providing ways to encourage leadership and mentoring among the Associates of the Federation. Associates, who make up two-thirds of the NAHB. Erickson also services as the NAHB Associate Director for the state of Idaho.

Erickson has 25 years of banking experience, primarily in commercial lending with an emphasis in construction and builder banking. Erickson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance from Idaho State University. She is on the executive board of the Idaho Building Contractors Association, is active in North Idaho Building Contractors Association and the Coeur d’Alene Kiwanis.

Glacier Bancorp ranked fifth

Best American Bank by Forbes

Glacier Bancorp, the holding company for Mountain West Bank, was recently named to Forbes’ annual Best Banks In America 2017 list. The bank was ranked fifth on the magazine’s list.

To create the rankings, Forbes used data collected by S&P Global Market Intelligence. The 10 metrics used in the rankings were based on regulatory filings through Sept. 30, 2016, and included metrics on growth, profitability, capital adequacy, and asset quality. As of Sept. 30, 2016, Glacier Bancorp reported $9 billion in assets.
