School levy elections on March 14

Levy elections for five school districts will be held in Kootenai County on March 14.

“Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Lakeland Joint, Kootenai Joint and Plummer-Worley Joint school districts will each have supplemental maintenance and operations levy questions on the ballot,” said Kootenai County Clerk Jim Brannon. “Coeur d’Alene District will also have a special general obligation bond question on their ballot and Lakeland Joint will have a plant facilities reserve fund levy.”

Only voters residing in the respective school districts will be eligible to vote in this election.

Voters have many options for casting their ballots.

Early voting will be available at the County Elections Office, 1808 N. Third St., Coeur d’Alene, between Feb. 27 and March 10. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Eligible voters may request an absentee ballot no later than March 3 via this form: www.kcgov.us/elections/forms/Absentee_Ballot_Application.pdf. The completed request can be hand-delivered to the Elections Office, mailed, faxed to (208) 446-2184 or emailed to kcelections@kcgov.us. Postage on returned ballots will be paid by Kootenai County.

On Election Day, polls will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can confirm their polling place locations by visiting: www.kcgov.us/elections/search.
