Election Deputy for Sanders County, Bobbi Christenson, is reminding all voters in Sanders County to be certain their correct and current mailing address is on file with their office well before any election. Informing the Sanders County Clerk & Recorder Office after a move or change of mailing address, ensures ballots are more likely to arrive during the first mailing of ballots.

“As we approach the upcoming mail elections; schools, fire, park, hospital, municipal, and possibly two Special Elections, I would like make sure as many voters as possible receive their ballots from the 1st mailing,” Christenson said.

The physical address for the Sanders County Clerk & Recorder Office is 1111 Main St., Thompson Falls. The mailing address is P.O. Box 519, Thompson Falls MT 59873. Voters may also contact Christenson by phone at 406-827-6949 or by email at [email protected].

Plains Horsemen and Trotters hoping for successful track season

The Horsemen and Trotters have a team of boys and girls that could very well surprise many competing against them this year. Even though the team had five seniors graduate last year and go on to compete in colleagiate track this year throughout the western region, Plains remains a contender to place high in track this year. There are nine boys on the track team this year, eight more than the previous year. Some of the members of the team are new to track, as Head Coach Denise Montgomery discussed during a recent practice.
