Alice Bundy, 82

Alice L. Bundy, 82, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017. She was born Oct. 17, 1934, in Mellon, Wis., and became a resident of Kootenai County after moving to the area in 1967.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bundy, in 1978; and sons Thomas Bundy in 2012 and Craig Bundy in 2014. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Steve Crane of Post Falls; daughter-in-law Janice Bundy of Black Diamond, Wash.; son and daughter-in-law Tom and Kelli Kinney of Weatherford, Texas. She will be missed by many, but none more than her nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as Grandma’s candy dish was always full and a road-trip invite meant we are going for ice cream.

Alice was very active during retirement which included participating and contributing to many organizations and charitable groups including Cancer & Community Charities, Children’s Village and North Idaho Federated Republican Women. She enjoyed hobbies such as creating miniature vignette’s, gardening and also enjoyed attending local theater events.

In recent years, Alice volunteered for Hospice of North Idaho Thrift Stores and was hands-on preparing and presenting donated items for sale. She was amazingly tenacious, endured multiple hardships in life that would break the spirit of most, and persevered. She was quick-witted and possessed a soft heart for people in need.

Honoring her wishes, no services are being held. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N.
