Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 7 years, 11 months AGO
Laith Al-Saadi, Stacy Jones Band, Ty Curtis Band and Robin Barrett and Coyote Kings.
Those are the main acts ready to rock the 2017 Coeur d’Alene Blues Festival March 31 through April 2 at The Coeur d’Alene Resort.
The award-winning festival, presented by The Resort and Too Far North Production, was named “Best Blues Festival” in 2015 and 2016 by the Inland Empire Blues Society.
Laith Al-Saadi
In 2016, Laith Al-Saadi won America’s hearts and a spot in the finale of NBC’s “The Voice.” Entertainment Weekly called Laith Al-Saadi “a power performer who is so legitimate and memorable.”
Now he brings his authentic blend of blues, soul and classic rock to audiences around the nation and the world.
Stacy Jones Band
Winner of the 2015 International Music and Entertainment Association award for Best Blues Song “Can’t Do Nothin’ Right,” Jones’ music has been described as “A whiskey and water baptism that laces blues and rock edges.”
She is continually nominated for “Best of the Blues” awards in songwriting, performance, harmonica, guitar and winning vocalist of the year.
Ty Curtis Band
Blues Rock Review said, “Ty Curtis is a triple threat, since he is the band’s lead singer, as well as the primary composer of their material, and thirdly he’s a sonically incendiary, string-shredding electric guitar player.”
Curtis is a two-time winner of the Cascade Blues Association (CBA) Curtis Salgado Male Vocalist award.
Robin Barrett
and Coyote Kings
Robin Barrett and Coyote Kings received the 2014 Empire Award for “Best Blues Band” and Barrett for “Best Blues Guitarist.”
Following their 2013 award-winning fourth album, “Nasty Habits & Dirty Little Secrets,” their latest CD “Howl,” has won the 2015 Empire Award for “Best Blues CD.”
