SANDPOINT — A four-class financial fitness class is being held for area farmers. The series will be held Mondays and begins Feb. 27.
The four-class series will focus on how to develop the financial forms farmers need to assess their net worth and to determine if your farm enterprise is profitable.
Forms include the balance sheet, the income statement, the enterprise budget, and the cash-flow budget. Reference materials and homework assignments are included. The course is also a chance to learn tips and techniques from local Idaho farmers for developing the record-keeping skills that farmers — or folks who would like to get into farming — need for successful financial recordkeeping.
The course will consist of a four-part, in-person course. Students will meet on Monday evenings from February 27 to March 20. The classes will be held from 6-8 p.m. There is a $10 fee for this series. This class will be taught by Kate Painter, Extension educator, UI Extension, Boundary County.
To register for this class, either call the Bonner County Extension Office, 263-8511, or register online at cultivatingsuccess.org/northidaho.
