Feb. 8

An employee accidentally set off the alarm in the 1300 block of Highway 2 at 7:09 a.m.

A moose was reported on the loose in the Pine Street area at 7:35 a.m.

The owner of a vehicle parked in a yard in the 1300 block of Chestnut Street was contacted at 9:18 a.m. and advised to move it or it would be towed.

A found child was reunited with a parent in the 100 block of N. Ella Avenue at 9:34 a.m.; he was up on the roof and she couldn’t see him

Officers were canceled while en route to an alarm in the 500 block of Larch Street at 9:52 a.m.

After a male in Coeur d’Alene called wanting a ride to Sandpoint at 11:18 a.m., he was given suggestions for transport.

A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 200 block of S. First Avenue at 12 p.m.

A business owner in the 300 block of S. Ella Avenue was advised at 12:49 p.m. to not place snow on city property.

A new investigation was opened regarding a possible sex offense at 1:34 p.m.

A responsible party was contacted and advised to remove the snow from around a fire hydrant in the area of N. First Avenue and Main Street at 1:46 p.m.

Vehicles involved in possible collision in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue were already gone when the officer arrived at 1:53 p.m.

A two-vehicle, non-injury collision was reported in the area of Fourth and Poplar at 2:21 p.m.

A child playing with a phone on Kinnikinnik Avenue accidentally dialed 911 at 2:55 p.m.

A total of 21 vehicles were tagged at 5:47 p.m. in the downtown core for 48-hour removal due to snow removal process; one vehicle was towed for emergency snow removal.
