Brenda Weiler Fettig Whitlow, 62

Brenda Marie Whitlow, 62, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away Feb. 8, 2017, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Born April 30, 1954, in Elgin, N.D., to parents Steve Weiler and Geraldine Soehren Weiler.

Brenda grew up in Spokane Valley/Otis Orchards. She graduated from East Valley High School in 1972.

In her late teens, she married Larry Fettig and they had a daughter, Stephanie, and a son, Larry. They divorced and she married, Mark Francis Whitlow, on Feb. 10, 1996.

She was a mother, a homemaker and loved to garden, bake, paint, and spend time with her grandchildren. She lived in Post Falls with her husband Mark.

In September 2016, she became very ill and was hospitalized and spent several months there. She recently had a stroke and passed away from complications.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Whitlow; daughter Stephanie Manzi; son Larry (Kim) Fettig; grandkids Audreanna (Breandan), Jaymon, Stephen, Kyla, Dylan (Lizzy), Haley and Zach; her mother, Geraldine Weiler; brother Scott (Joann); sister DeeAnn (Lori); sister Jody (Kevin); sister Laurie (Jeff); and numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Steve Weiler; brother Dale Weiler and brother Brian Weiler.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
