The Bulldogs’ Bailey Weibel caught a “tough break,” according to Cronk.

“He was kind of caught in an awkward position and ended up getting pinned,” Cronk said. “There was a lot of heartbreak. Wrestling is all about learning your lessons. Even sometimes when you go out and give it your all, you don’t always get the results that you want.”

Cronk said he felt adversity prepares his team for life.

“You have to learn to always do your best and sometimes take those losses,” Cronk said. “In that way, wrestling really prepares you for life.”

Cronk expressed high hopes for his Mission-Charlo team next season.

The squad will return everyone except senior Trent Dennison. Dennison was unable to continue wrestling after he suffered a concussion.

“We will have almost everyone back next year and that is a good place to start,” Cronk said. “We are very excited about the future of this team.”
