CAT: Citizens, unite

It made me sick, and angry, to see the front-page photo of the poor cat who was so badly abused! May his little soul rest in peace.

What kind of a sick monster could do such a horrible thing? Man, woman, or child…they need to be caught and punished! I’d like to suggest that everyone living in the area where the abuses have occurred start policing their neighborhoods. Walk around the block…go through alleys. Look for anything out of the ordinary…and if you see something, call the police. For instance, how many people have diesel oil on their property? Are there any mechanics, or heavy equipment operators living nearby? Check your dirty laundry. Peek into garbage cans. Someone had to have gotten a big oil stain on their clothing. Use your nose. Diesel oil has a very distinct odor.

This monster has to be caught! Who is to say that a child isn’t next on their sick agenda?

In the story, it says that a reward has been offered, and I know of other people, myself included, who have already said they would like to donate to that fund. Let’s build it up high enough to make people put forth the effort to find the sick monster who is probably already thinking of another horrific act. (Perhaps The Press can post the address where donations can be sent.)

My own pets were rescue dogs. One of them had been very badly abused. His mouth had been wired shut, cutting deeply into his face and ears! The other dog was in the process of being dumped when I rescued him. Who would leave a tiny black puppy in a black parking lot, just a short way from the edge of the Spokane River, near midnight? Animal abuse MUST stop!

Thanks to Alpine Animal Hospital for doing all they could to try to save the precious fur-baby.
