COULEE CITY — Shane C. Wachter, 17, of Coulee City, was identified as the victim from Sunday morning’s deadly stabbing in Coulee City.

Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in the 300 block of West Washington Street about 2:30 a.m. Wachter was found at the scene and transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. An autopsy to determine the cause and manner of Wachter’s death is scheduled for today.

Wachter’s twin brother, whose name was not released by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested and booked into the Grant County Juvenile Detention Facility for investigation of manslaughter and assault-domestic violence.

The sheriff’s office did not further release details on the events leading up to the stabbing. The suspect is expected to appear in Grant County Juvenile Court today.
