Whitefish Bulldog fans can now show their school spirit on their vehicle with the new Bulldog logo license plate.
The Whitefish Education Foundation recently announced the launch of the Bulldog logo license plate that school supporters can display on any Montana-registered vehicle. The Bulldog plate is among the 25 local Montana public school districts and their nonprofit associations who garner proceeds from plate sales.
The Whitefish Education Foundation is a community based nonprofit fundraising organization established to maintain and enhance the quality and scope of educational opportunities, programs, and standards of the Whitefish School District. All Bulldog license plate proceeds will benefit the entire student body.
“The Whitefish Education Foundation takes an innovative approach to tapping funding sources in support of high quality programs which complement the district’s educational goals,” Superintendent Heather Davis Schmidt said. “We believe the iconic Whitefish Bulldog figure will be well utilized by our community, which has traditionally shown strong support for Bulldogs of all ages throughout the district.”
Initially, a Bulldog plate costs $40, which covers a $20 donation to the Whitefish Education Foundation, a one-time $10 production cost for the plate and a one-time $10 state administration plate. The plate carries a $20 annual renewal cost and can be obtained through the Flathead County Treasurer’s Office Department of Motor Vehicles.
For a separate fee, the sponsored Bulldog plate may be personalized when ordering.
All of Montana’s more than 240 sponsored license plates are approved by the state’s Motor Vehicle Division in conjunction with the Montana Highway Patrol, while plate production is coordinated with the Montana Department of Corrections.
